    All about the Everest Base Camp Trek via Jiri.

    The Everest Base Camp / EBC (5,364m) Trek is one of the most famous trekking routes in the world. It is once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the breath taking sceneries of Beautiful Himalayas. The Everest Base Camp trek is a tough challenge and not to be taken lightly with generally well graded paths but some tougher sections along the Khumbu glacier. It is suitable for people who are generally fit and are used to walking in the hills. It is an experience never to be forgotten. On the Everest Base camp trek, we reach the height of 5545 metres, and are well within the reach of the average hill walker. If you have ever longed to set eyes on our highest mountain, then the view from Everest base camp will stay with you forever. The trek gives an insight into the lives and culture of the Sherpas. The Jiri-Everest trekking adds a new taste to highly popular Everest Base camp Trekking.

    1. Day 01 International Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)

      After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips. You will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.

    2. Day 02 Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

      We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre discussion of the trek is done in the presence of trek leader, crew and other participants of the trek. Asian Adventure Trips will delightfully brief more about the trek and your queries will be answered.

    3. Day 03 Drive to Bhandar via Jiri

      Our day starts in Kathmandu and we set off to Bhandar after breakfast. We pass Jiri and reach to Bhandar in around 7 hrs of bus drive. Filled with great scenic views the highway ride is an adventure itself. We spend the overnight in Bhandar.

    4. Day 04 Trek to Sete (2,575m/8,450 ft)

      Early morning trekking starts from Bhandar. We head on the descending trekking trail crossing Dokharpa and Baranda villages. The gradual descends then takes us through Kenja, Chimbu and Sete. Around 7 hrs of trekking adventure then concludes in Sete with overnight stay.

    5. Day 05 Trek to Junbesi (2670 m/8760 ft): 6/7 hrs

      Trekking trail is ascending from Sete. We start the trekking and pass through beautiful forest of Rhododendron. We cross the villages of Dagchu and Goyem. Moving ahead further, we reach the village of Junbesi. Junbesi is our overnight destination after around 7 hrs of walk.

    6. Day 06 Trek to Nunthala (2220m/7280 ft)

      We start our trekking from Junbesi early in the morning. Beautiful Himalayas Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Makalu, Thamseruku all are visible in their best forms. Crossing Ringmo, we reach to Nunthala for overnight stay.

    7. Day 07 Trek to Bupsa (2,360 m/7,740 ft)

      Trekking continues from Nunthala today. Trekking journey is around 6 hrs long and passes through panoramas of upper Khgumbu region. We head forward on the trekking trail to reach Kharikhola. For our overnight stay we continue trek towards Bupsa.

    8. Day 08 Trek to Surke (2,290m/7,282ft) : 5/6 hrs

      Today, the trekking starts from Buspa. We trek for around 6 hrs through the trail that passes through forests. We move ahead through Kharte, all the way up to Khari la Pass. khari La Pass greets us with spectacular views of mountains Gyachung kang and Khumbila. Further, we follow the gradual trail to Surke. We spend overnight in Surke.

    9. Day 09 Trek to Phakding (2,652m/8,700ft) : 4/5 hrs

      We trek for around 5 hrs today to reach Phakding. The gradual trail passes through Chaurikharka and Chhiplung villages. Overnight stay is arranged in Phakding.

    10. Day 10 Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)

      Our trek for today starts after breakfast in Phakding. We then set off for a beautiful journey of around 5-6 hours across short uphill and downhill paths. Spectacular view of Mt. Thamserku can be seen from Benkar village on our way. We pass over DudhKoshi River via several crossings and finally reach to Sagarmatha national park at Monjo. Our trekking journey continues to Jorsale, the last village till Namche Bazaar. On the way to Namche, we stop at chautara to enjoy the view of Kwangde peak and its sister peaks KusumKangaru, Mt. Everest, Lotse and Twache. Finally, our trek for the day ends with overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.

    11. Day 11 Rest Day at Namche Bazar

      This is the rest day at Namche Bazaar. For “acclimatization” needed during this climbing trek. As suggested by health experts, we should not be completely idle during rest days. So, we opt to take a small hike to Thame or Khunde. You also have an option to rather stay at Namche Bazaar and enjoy different attractions there. Doing so, you can also learn about Sherpa culture and extend your knowledge about mountains and mountaineering.

    12. Day 12 Namche Bazaar - Tengboche (3,860 m)

      After our rest day at Namche, we continue the trek after breakfast. We head to Tengboche for a trek of approximately 5-6 hrs. Trekking trail today is mostly smooth. On our way, we enjoy compelling views of Himalayan Glories, Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. AmaDablam and Thamserku. You will be guided through wildlife and natural beauty of Khumbu region. We reach PhunkiThenga after crossing pine forests and bridge over Dudh Koshi River. After having lunch at Phunki Thenga, we follow our trekking trail to tougher climb through pine forests to finally reach Tengboche. Attractions here are beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Nuptse and the biggest Monastery of the Khumbu Region. After visiting the Buddhist Monastery, we return to Tengboche for overnight stay.

    13. Day 13 Tengboche - Dingboche (4,360m)

      Tengboche offers us beautiful Scenic views of popular peaks Kangtega, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Tengboche, Lhotse and Nuptse with the start of our morning. We then start our trek for the day on the trail along with Imja Khola. We walk enjoying beautiful views of Mt. Ama Dablam and other peaks of this region. We then reach Deboche, where we can opt to visit a nearby Buddhist nunnery.  Ahead in our trek, comes Pangboche. Pangboche offers us beautiful landscapes of khumbu region. Then, our trekking trail leads us to Shomare, followed by Orsho. Orsho offers views of Pumori, Mesmerizing peak of this region. Our 5-6 hrs trek concludes after we reach Dingboche for Overnight stay.

    14. Day 14 Dingboche - Duglha (4,600 m/15,090 ft)

      We continue our trekking adventure from Dingboche early in the morning. We take an ascending trail from Dingboche passing through Khumbu Khola. Following the trail we pass through Phulung Karpo, Dusa and finally the Chola Lake. We are greeted all the way by majestic views of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Cholatse and Mt. Thamserku. We finally rech to Duglha village for overnight stay.

    15. Day 15 Duglha - Lobuche (4,940 m/16,207 ft) : 2 - 4 hrs

      The trekking trail goes ascending from Dugla. Our trekking destination today is Lobuche. We pass through Chupki Lhara enjoying beautiful Himalayas surrounding us. Mt. Lingten, Mt. Pumori and Mahalungur Himal are the panoramic attractions through our trekking trail. Around 3 hrs of trekking through the beautiful landscapes takes us to Lobuche, the overnight stay destination.

    16. Day 16 Lobuche - Everest Base Camp - Gorak Shep

      After breakfast, we trek towards Gorakshep. Our main destination for today is Everest Base Camp, where we head after lunch. Attractions today are Close and compelling views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam among others. We return to Gorak Shep for Overnight stay today.

    17. Day 17 Gorak Shep-Kala Patthar to Pheriche

      We sacrifice our morning sleep today with an early wake up, which is easily justified bythe Devine Sunrise view from Kala Patthar. Our breakfast is planned on return at Gorak Shep. We head to Lobuche cherishing panoramas of Himalayan beauties and have our lunch. We then head towards Pheriche for Overnight stay.

    18. Day 18 Pheriche-Pangboche-Tengboche-Namche Bazzar (3,440 m/11,280 ft) : 5/6 hrs

      Trekking starts from Pheriche early in the morning. The trail we follow today is rich in rhododendron forests and vast flora and fauna. We reach Pangboche followed by Kyangjuma before reaching Namche Bazaar. The walk is concluded in around 6 hrs before we spend the overnight in Namche.

    19. Day 19 Namche Bazaar-Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft) : 6/8 hrs

      A bit longer trekking trail awaits for us today. We start early walk through similar conditions of trail through forests and some mountain panoramas. About 7 hrs of trekking through steeper sections of trail takes us to Namche Bazaae, the overnight destination.

    20. Day 20 Lukla to Kathmandu

      After breakfast we set off from Tenzing-Hillary Airport of Lukla for a 40 minutes flight to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, we enjoy rest day and conclude our amazing trip. We share experiences and memories and stay overnight in Kathmandu.

    21. Day 21 Farewell Dinner

      Before your planned return from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips Organizes farewell dinner for the whole trekking team including guides and porters. We share our experiences with each other and also have an opportunity to plan our next trip to Nepal with Asian Adventure Trips. As per your departure schedule from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips will provide airport transport facility from your hotel.

    En-route Accommodation
    Accommodation during the trekking is arranged in en-route tea houses and local lodges. The accommodation options available during the trek are fairly clean with all the facilities available expected for the lodges of the grade. Before and after the trek, accommodation is arranged in cities at three star hotels on twin sharing on BB plan.
