The Everest Base Camp / EBC (5,380m) Trek is one of the most famous trekking routes in the world. It is once in a lifetime opportunity to witness the breath taking sceneries of Beautiful Himalayas. The Everest Base Camp trek is a tough challenge and not to be taken lightly with generally well graded paths but some tougher sections along the Khumbu glacier. It is suitable for people who are generally fit and are used to walking in the hills. It is an experience never to be forgotten. On the Everest Base camp trek, we reach the height of 5545 metres, and are well within the reach of the average hill walker. If you have ever longed to set eyes on our highest mountain, then the view from Everest base camp will stay with you forever. The trek gives an insight into the lives and culture of the Sherpas.

International Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)
After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips. You will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.
Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre discussion of the trek is done in the presence of trek leader, crew and other participants of the trek. Asian Adventure Trips will delightfully brief more about the trek and your queries will be answered.
Kathmandu - Lukla (2,840 m) - Phakding (2,652m)
Our day begins with an early breakfast in Kathmandu after which we will accompany you to Domestic Terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport for morning flight to Lukla (2800 m). We fly for 40 minutes exploring beautiful sceneries and mountains of Nepal. We land at Tenzing-Hillary airport in Lukla and meet our rest of the trekking crew. Trekking starts after some essential arrangements and packing. We trek through the beautiful village of Lukla to Phakding. We take a short hike today as it assists us in acclimatization. However, Side trip to nearby monastery can be arranged for willing participants. We spend the night in Phakding.
Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Our trek for today starts after breakfast in Phakding. We then set off for a beautiful journey of around 5-6 hours across short uphill and downhill paths. Spectacular view of Mt. Thamserku can be seen from Benkar village on our way. We pass over Dudh Koshi River via several crossings and finally reach to Sagarmatha national park at Monjo. Our trekking journey continues to Jorsale, the last village till Namche Bazaar. On the way to Namche, we stop at Chautara to enjoy the view of Kwangde peak and its sister peaks Kusum Kangaru, Mt. Everest, Lotse and Twache. Finally, our trek for the day ends with overnight stay in Namche Bazaar.
Namche Bazaar: Rest day
This is the rest day at Namche Bazaar. For “acclimatization” needed during this climbing trek. As suggested by health experts, we should not be completely idle during rest days. So, we opt to take a small hike to Thame or Khunde. You also have an option to rather stay at Namche Bazaar and enjoy different attractions there. Doing so, you can also learn about Sherpa culture and extend your knowledge about mountains and mountaineering.
Namche Bazaar - Tengboche (3,860 m)
After our rest day at Namche, we continue the trek after breakfast. We head to Tengboche for a trek of approximately 5-6 hrs. Trekking trail today is mostly smooth. On our way, we enjoy compelling views of Himalayan Glories, Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam and Thamserku. You will be guided through wildlife and natural beauty of Khumbu region. We reach Phunki Thenga after crossing pine forests and bridge over Dudh Koshi River. After having lunch at Phunki Thenga, we follow our trekking trail to tougher climb through pine forests to finally reach Tengboche. Attractions here are beautiful views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Nuptse and the biggest Monastery of the Khumbu Region. After visiting the Buddhist Monastery, we return to Tengboche for overnight stay.
Tengboche - Dingboche (4,360m)
Tengboche offers us beautiful Scenic views of popular peaks Kangtega, Thamserku, Ama Dablam, Tengboche, Lhotse and Nuptse with the start of our morning. We then start our trek for the day on the trail along with Imja Khola. We walk enjoying beautiful views of Mt. Ama Dablam and other peaks of this region. We then reach Deboche, where we can opt to visit a nearby Buddhist nunnery. Ahead in our trek, comes Pangboche. Pangboche offers us beautiful landscapes of khumbu region. Then, our trekking trail leads us to Shomare, followed by Orsho. Orsho offers views of Pumori, Mesmerizing peak of this region. Our 5-6 hrs trek concludes after we reach Dingboche for Overnight stay.
Rest Day in Dingboche
We stay in Dingboche today for rest and acclimatization purposes. Rest days are suggested not to stay completely idle but to take short hikes around the spot. We can use this day to explore the Dingboche village. We can enjoy the beautiful panoramas all around us. The peaks of Khumbu region, Ama Dablam, Taboche, Cholatse are all clearly and beautifully visible from Dingboche. We hence stay in Dingboche admiring Himalayan beauty of Nepal. Overnight accommodation arranged in Dingboche.
Dingboche - Duglha (4,600 m/15,090 ft)
We continue our trekking adventure from Dingboche early in the morning. We take an ascending trail from Dingboche passing through Khumbu Khola. Following the trail we pass through Phulung Karpo, Dusa and finally the Chola Lake. We are greeted all the way by majestic views of Mt. Pumori, Mt. Cholatse and Mt. Thamserku. We finally rech to Duglha village for overnight stay.
Duglha - Lobuche (4940 m/16,207 ft): 2 - 4 hrs
The trekking trail goes ascending from Dugla. Our trekking destination today is Lobuche. We pass through Chupki Lhara enjoying beautiful Himalayas surrounding us. Mt. Lingten, Mt. Pumori and Mahalungur Himal are the panoramic attractions through our trekking trail. Around 3 hrs of trekking through the beautiful landscapes takes us to Lobuche, the overnight stay destination.
Lobuche- Everest Base Camp-Gorak Shep
After breakfast, we trek towards Gorakshep. Our main destination for today is Everest Base Camp, where we head after lunch. Attractions today are Close and compelling views of Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam among others. We return to Gorak Shep for Overnight stay today.
Gorak Shep-Kala Patthar to Pheriche
We sacrifice our morning sleep today with an early wake up, which is easily justified by the Devine Sunrise view from Kala Patthar. Our breakfast is planned on return at Gorak Shep. We head to Lobuche cherishing panoramas of Himalayan beauties and have our lunch. We then head towards Pheriche for Overnight stay.
Pheriche to Kyangjuma (3,570m/11,710ft)
We start the trekking from Pheriche today. The trekking trail passes through villages of this region; Tsuro Wog, Shomare, Orsho and Pangboche. Further we pass through imja Khola and Tengboche. In company of beautiful Himalayan sceneries, we walks for around 6 hrs to finally reach Kyangjuma village, our overnight stay destination for today.
Kyangjuma to Monjo [2,840m/9,315ft]: 4 - 5 hrs
We start our trekking early in the morning from Kyangjuma. Our destination Monjo is around 5 hrs of trek from Kyangjuma village. We trek through steep trails to reach Namche Bazaar on our way. Crossing the infamous Namche Bazaar, we take a steep descending trail to reach Monjo. Monjo is today’s overnight stay destination.
Monjo to Lukla: 4 - 5 hrs
Our wonderful trekking experience in Khumbu region comes to an end today. Our trekking trail is bumpy gradually with some flat lands. Fairly easy trekking trail and awesome landscapes will summarize the wonder experiences we had throughout the trek. We reach Lukla after around 5 hrs for our overnight stay.
Lukla to Kathmandu
After breakfast we set off from Tenzing-Hillary Airport of Lukla for a 40 minutes flight to Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, we enjoy rest day and conclude our amazing trip. We share experiences and memories and stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Before your planned return from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips organizes farewell dinner for the whole trekking team including guides and porters. We share our experiences with each other and also have an opportunity to plan our next trip to Nepal with Asian Adventure Trips.As per your departure schedule from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips will provide airport transport facility from your hotel.
