The Dhaulagiri Circuit trek is a unique way of exploration of Nepal in the specific Dhaulagiri region. From long walks through mighty hills to panoramas of Himalayas to an opportunity to come along ethnic groups of Nepal, the trekking offers it all.
After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips. You will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.
We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre discussion of the trek is done in the presence of trek leader, crew and other participants of the trek. Asian Adventure Trips will delightfully brief more about the trek and your queries will be answered.
After breakfast in Kathmandu we take a tourist bus for 6 hrs of adventurous ride to pokhara. We rest in the beautiful Pokhara city for the day and can opt to witness delightful surroundings of the lake city. Overnight at Pokhara.
We drive to Beni from Pokhara early in the morning. The drive is approx. 6 hours through adventurous highway. We make necessary preparations for the trek tomorrow and stay in Beni for Overnight.
Our trekking starts from Beni today. We walk past small villages of this region on our trekking trail. Walking for around 7 hours along bank of Mayagdi Khola, we finally reach Babiyachaur, our overnight stay destination.
We walk through wide path today on the start of trek from Babiyachaur. We pass through Darbang and lead along pine forest for around 6 hrs to finally reach Dharapani, our overnight spot.
We trek through beautiful landscapes for around 5 hrs to reach Muri village. Muri village is one of the famous Gurung Magar village of this region. If we are lucky enough, we can now enjoy spectacular views of Manapathi peak along with Dhaulagiri range from Muri. Overnight stay is arranged in Muri.
Early morning trek starts today from Muri. We cross through different fields and village areas in the 7 hrs long trek. With gradual ups and downs on our way we carefully move ahead towards Baghar. The village of Baghar accommodates us for overnight stay.
We continue our trekking adventure from Baghar. We pass through the village of Jyarden and continue towards harder trails. The trail then leads us to tougher sections through forests. Total 7 hrs of trekking adventure finally takes us to Dobang for overnight stay.
Our trekking starts from Dobang and head along the trekking trail that leads us through forests. We can enjoy the panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri from the trekking trail. We walk through rather easy trail to reach Sallaghari in around 5 hrs of walk. We prepare for tomorrow’s climb to Italian Base Camp and stay for overnight stay in Sallaghari.
Early morning trekking from Sallaghari starts today. We most cross the forests areas and head towards the Italian Base Camp. Around 4 hrs of walk through the trail takes us to Italian Base Camp. The panoramas are amazing from the Italian Base Camp giving us views of Dhaulagiri Range and Manapathi Peak. We stay at Italian Base Camp for overnight camping.
We spend the acclimatization day in Italian Base Camp. The day helps our body to get some rest and acclimatize in higher altitudes. The day boosts up our energy for remaining trekking days.
Trekking trail today is challenging and hard. We pass through stony sections of trail and walk for around 5 hrs to reach Japanese Base Camp, also known as Advance Base Camp. We stay in overnight camp in Advance Base Camp enjoying the panoramas of Dhaulagiri. The views surprises us more than our expectation.
We head towards Dhaulagiri Base Camp today. The trekking trail is rocky and bit harder. With beautiful panoramas and walk of around 4 hrs, we reach to Dhaulagiri Base Camp. Dhaulagiri Base Camp is also complimented of awesome views of Dhaulagiri region.
Trekking continues from Dhaulagiri Base Camp today. Harder adventurous trekking and walking through exciting trail takes us to hidden valley. We, on our 7 hrs long trekking pass through marvelous French Col. The French Col. is highland that offers breathtaking scenic views of Mukut Himal, Sita Chuchura and Tukuche peak among others. Overnight camp is arranged in the Hidden valley.
We trek through Thapa Pass from the hidden valley. Almost 8 hrs of trekking trail leads us to yak Kharka. The trekking is rather steep and mildly hard.
Today, our trekking is descending towards Marpha. The 4 hrs of descend through open trekking trail takes us to Marpha village. Marpha is a popular settlement of this region that provides cultural aspects of this region. Overnight accommodation is arranged in Marpha.
We continue our trekking adventure from Marpha. We pass the forest region and natural flora/ fauna for around 6 hrs to reach Kalopani. Trekking trail offers great mountain views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri Ranges and other peaks of this region.
We descend from Kalopani to reach Tatopani today. Trekking trail is gradual descend mildly hard in nature. Around 6 hrs of descend is concluded in Tatopani with Overnight stay. Tatopani is famous for a relaxing hot spring.
We follow the trekking trail from Tatopani for around 4 hrs. We reach to Shikha village. Shikha is an ethnic Magar settlement. Overnight in Shikha.
We continue to trek from Shikha village. 4 hrs of trekking takes us to Ghorepani. Overnight stay in Ghorepani.
We start the morning with majestic sunrise views in Poon Hill. After breakfast in Ghorepani, We walk for around 3 hrs to reach Birethanti. Overnight stay is arranged in Birethanti.
Our adventurous trekking ends today with trek to Nayapul. We drive to Pokhara from Nayapul. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Completing our adventurous trip, we return back to capital city today. Comfortable bus ride of around 6 hrs brings you to Kathmandu, Where we can share our memories and experiences of the trek. Accommodation is managed in Kathmandu by Asian Adventure Trips.
Before your planned return from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips organizes farewell dinner for the whole trekking team including guides and porters. We share our experiences with each other and also have an opportunity to plan our next trip to Nepal with Asian Adventure Trips.
