    Mt. Kanchenjunga Camping trekking is huge adventure in Nepal. This nearly a month long trekking experience is once in a lifetime adventure in the laps of one of the highest peaks of the world, Mt. Kanchenjunga. The trekking is designed especially for travellers willing to push the adventure further.     1. Day 01 International Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)

      After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips. You will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.

    2. Day 02 Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation

      We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre discussion of the trek is done in the presence of trek leader, crew and other participants of the trek. Asian Adventure Trips will delightfully brief more about the trek and your queries will be answered.

    3. Day 03 Fly from Kathmandu to Biratnagar

      We take a flight to Biratnagar today to start the trek. We have two different options ahead depending upon the availability of flight to Suketar. We can either fly from Biratnagar to Suketar or in case of unavailability of flight, we can drive to Phidim and again drive to Suketar next day.

    4. Day 04 Fly from Biratnagar to Suketar (2,420 m) or Drive from Phidim (1,179 m) to Suketar

      Depending upon the condition and availability of flights, today we either fly to Suketar from Biratnagar directly or drive to Suketar from Phidim. In both cases we reach our trekking’s starting point, Suketar and stay for Overnight.

    5. Day 05 Suketar to Mitlung

      Our trek starts today from Suketar. 4-5 hrs of walk lead us to Mitlung, our destination for today. Trekking trail is descending downhill passing through beautiful villages on our way. Besides, we can enjoy the walk on the shores of Tamor River, a popular rafting destination of this region. Overnight campsite arranged in Mitlung.

    6. Day 06 Mitlung to Chirwa (1,270 m)

      We trek from Mitlung on our trail with ups and downs today. We cross Village of Sinwa, Tawa and other localities around. Enjoying scenic views of landscapes, we finally reach the popular Limbu village, Chirwa. Overnight stay is arranged in Chirwa.

    7. Day 07 Chirwa to Sukathum (1,576 m)

      We trek through natural vegetation and forest areas today. Beautiful landscapes around will attract us throughout the trail. Crossing major water bodies, the Tamor River and the Ghunsa River we finally reach to Sukatham in 5-6 hrs, and stop for an overnight stay.

    8. Day 08 Sukathum to Amjilosa (2,308 m)

      Trekking Trail today is bit difficult today than in previous days. We walk through steep paths and forest areas along with a gorge. Reaching Amjilosa takes around 6-7 hrs of a cautious walkthrough the tough trail. Overnight stay in Amkilosa.

    9. Day 09 Amjilosa to Gyabla (2,730 m)

      Further walk today through dense forests of bamboo and rhododendron takes us to Gyabla. We can also enjoy amazing mountain springs and waterfalls along with our trek. We finally reach Gyabla in 6-7 hrs of walk and stay there for overnight.

       

    10. Day 10 Gyabla to Ghunsa (3,595 m)

      Today trekking trail descends towards Phale, where a Tibetan refugee camp is located. The village also holds its reputation for amazing handicrafts and tourist Souvenir products.After around 5-6 hrs of walk, we reach the popular Sherpa village Ghunsa, which is also known for a hydropower plant. We spend the night here.

       

    11. Day 11 Acclimatization day at Ghunsa

      Our first acclimatization day is spent in Ghunsa, Exploring the Ghunsa village and hiking towards Laspsan monastery can be chosen for the day.  Staying active in the rest day boosts up your fitness and prepares for further trek.

    12. Day 12 Ghunsa to Kambachen (4,050 m)

      After completing our rest day, we continue the trek through scenic views mountains of this region. Trekking Trail leads us to Rampuk Kharka. We then carefully pass through landslide hit areas in our trekking trail. Compelling views of Mt. Jannu keeps us engaged throughout the 5-6 hrs trek before reaching Kambachen. Overnight is spent in Kambachen.

    13. Day 13 Acclimatization Day at Kambachen

      Our second “acclimatization” day is planned in Kambachen. This day is intended for rest, exploration and observation of health conditions for the whole trekking crew. Our trekking crew also further briefs you about treks ahead and health issues like high altitude sickness. We spend relaxing night today.

    14. Day 14 Kambachen to Lhonak (4,780 m)

      We start our trek early in the morning today. Trekking trail is hard and challenging as we pass through different landslide hit sections. We pass the popular Ramtang monastery and continue our 6-7 hrs of trek to finally reach Lhonak. We stay in Lhonak for overnight.

    15. Day 15 Trek to Pangpema/Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (5,388 m)

      We trek through Rocky sections of Kanchenjunga north base camp today. Under expert guidance, we carefully cross landslide prone areas on our trekking trail. The day is an adventurous 6-7 hrs walk before finally reaching Pangpema. Pangpena offers memorable panoramic views of Mt. Jannu, Mt. Kanchenjunga and Chang Himal ranges. After the hard trek, we rest in Pangpema for overnight stay.

    16. Day 16 Trek back to Kambachen (4,050 m)

      Our journey today takes us back to Lhonak from where we descend forward to return Kambachen. Our 6-7 hrs of descending trail offers us mind blowing sceneries of Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mera peak, Taple Shikher and other peaks around. Overnight stay is managed in Kambachen.

    17. Day 17 Kambachen to Ghunsa (3,595 m)

      Descend continues today as we pass through beautiful forests followed by Himalayan panoramic views in our trail. We reach Ghunsa in 3-4 hrs of descend and stay there for overnight.

    18. Day 18 Ghunsa to Sele Le (4,290 m)

      Trekking adventure takes a new turn today as we begin to climb through steep trail. Our destination is Sele Le, 6-7 hrs of walk from Ghunsa. Dense forests of rhododendron and juniper adds up to ease during the trek. Overnight stay at Sele-Le.

    19. Day 19 Sele Le to Cheram (3,870 m)

      Trekking continues today through uphill trail accessing us to amazing views of Jannu Himal, Mt. Makalu. You need to stay active and high on stamina since we are passing through Sinion-La, Mirgin La and Sinelapche Bhanjyang. We trek for 6-7 hrs through the steep downhill trail to reach Cheram, our overnight campsite.

    20. Day 20 Cheram to Ramche (4,580 m) and return back to Cheram

      Trekking today takes us up to Ramche through Simbuwa Khola and Lapsang village. We descend from Ramche after enjoying views offered by the locality. We can also enjoy the glorious view of southern Kanchenjunga. Optional visit to Oktang Monastery can be arranged if desired. Trek returns to Cheram for overnight stay.

    21. Day 21 Cheram to Tortong (2,995 m)

      Continuing the descend, we head towards Tortong. 5-6 hrs of trek brings us to our overnight campsite.

    22. Day 22 Tortong to Yamphudin (2,080 m)

      Trekking trail takes us to Yamphudin, passing Lasiya Bhanjyang on our way. 6-7 hrs of descend take us to Yamphudin, a village inhabited by Sherpas, Rais and Limbus.

       

    23. Day 23 Yamphudin to Yangpang (1,007 m)

      Descend continues today as we pass through small villages and forest areas to finally reach Yangpang.6-7 hrs of the trek passes through Kabeli Khola and Khaksewa Khola leading us to Yangpang. Overnight stay is arranged in Yangpang.

    24. Day 24 Yangpang to Thorpu (1,500 m)

      We continue our trek from Yangpang to Thorpu today. 5-6 hrs long trail gives us beautiful views of terraced villages. Overnight stay in Thorpu also gives us the opportunity to experience the hospitality of villagers.

    25. Day 25 Thorpu to Birtamod (300 m)

      We come to end of our walking journey as we reach Birtamod after the final 5-6 hrs of the trek. We experience gradual changes in climatic conditions and geographical structures throughout the trail. Plenty of accommodation facilities can be chosen in this terai town for overnight stay.

    26. Day 26 Drive from Birtamod to Bhadrapur then Fly to Kathmandu

      On Our way back to Kathmandu, we drive to Bhadrapur and then take a flight. Exciting flight takes us to Kathmandu shortly where you are greeted by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips, to assist you towards your planned accommodation.

    27. Day 27 Farewell Dinner

      Before your planned return from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips organizes farewell dinner for the whole trekking team including guides and porters. We share our experiences with each other and also have an opportunity to plan our next trip to Nepal with Asian Adventure Trips. As per your departure schedule from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips will provide airport transport facility from your hotel.

    En-route Accommodation
    Accommodation during the trekking is arranged in en-route tea houses and local lodges. The accommodation options available during the trek are fairly clean with all the facilities available expected for the lodges of the grade. Before and after the trek, accommodation is arranged in cities at three star hotels on twin sharing on BB plan. Asian Adventure Trips takes all the necessary approaches to ensure your comfortable stay during your adventurous journey.
