Limi valley trekking is one of the most unique trekking experience in Nepal. The trekking trail for this special packages takes us all the way to the western part of Nepal, One of the most beautiful territory yet to be explored by majority of the visitors. The major attractions of Limi Valley trekking are the panoramas and splendid views of Saipal (7031m), Byas Rishi, Api, Kanjirowa, Kanti, Gorakh Himalayas that can be sighted from the Gyuo Kharka ( 5150m ).

The untouched civilization with deep roots with its culture and tradition, Limi valley trekking trail is perfect opportunity for trekkers to explore the western lifestyle of Nepal.

Trekking trail in the Limi Valley trekking adventure follows the path along the banks of the Karnali River, the longest river of Nepal. Our journey then moves ahead along the villages / settlements that is drenched in its unique traditional lifestyle authentic to the region. Travelling through this region is the perfect opportunity to explore raw culture of western Nepal along with experiences of its indifferent flora and fauna.

Many species of medicinal plants and animal species like blue sheep, wild horses and snow leopards can be sighted during the trek, depending upon the season and luck of the trekkers.

Day 01 International Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)

After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips. You will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.
Day 02 Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu

We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre discussion of the trek is done in the presence of trek leader, crew and other participants of the trek. Asian Adventure Trips will delightfully brief more about the trek and your queries will be answered.
Day 03 Flight Kathmandu to Nepalgunj

Our trekking journey for Limi Valley starts today as we board our flight for Nepalgunj.Nepalgunj is the city situated at the western part of Nepal and our gateway to Limi valley. Although the climate in the city is mostly hot and humid throughout the year, we can roam around the interesting city markets and prepare ourselves for the amazing journey ahead. Overnight stay in Nepalgunj.
Day 04 Flight Nepalgunj to Simikot

As there are no direct flights available from Kathmandu to Simikot, we have to take anoter flight to Simikot from Nepalgunj today. About an hour of flight from Nepalgunj takes us to Simikot. Simikot is yet another beautiful experience that adds up to our experience. It is also the headquarter of the Humla district.Moving ahead from Simikot we take our journey to the infamous Kailash Mansarovar.
Day 05 Trek to Dharapani (2300 m)

We start our trekking early in the morning from Simikot today. Trekking trail today takes us across a 3000 m high pass and moving further to a village settlement of Hindus and Buddhists, named Majhgaon. Exploring the village and natural beauties on our path, we reach to Dharapani after around 4 hrs. of walk. Overnight accommodation is arranged in Dharapani.
Day 06 Trek to Kermi

We start our day in Dharapani today exploring the beautiful village in the morning. As we have relatively shorter trekking trail ( around three hours ) to reach our destination Kermi today, we can start our journey bit late after spending the Dharapani village.We then start moving ahead the trai Karnali where we can see the fields of barley, buckwheat, rice and potatoes. After around three hours of trekking, we reach to Kermi. Major attractions here are Laikyo Gompa and Lhundrup Choeling Gompa, which are both about half an hour walk from our accommodation camp. Overnight stay is arranged at Camp.
Day 07 Trek to Yalbang

Moving ahead with our journey, We start our trek from Kermi early in the morning. Trekking trail in our journey today is exciting and adventurous as we cross across Sali River and walk further keeping Karnali River below the cliff. We also get to explore and encounter local villagers moving with Mule Caravans for Barter and trade. On our way further, we also get an opportunity to exploreNamkha Khyung Dzong Monastery of Nyingmapa lineage with about 135 monks living in. We finally reach to Yalbang after around 5 hrs of walk. Overnight stay is arranged at Yalbang in Camp.
Day 08 Trek to Muchu or Tumkot

We start our trekking journey early in the morning from Yalbang after breakfast. Trekking trail today is rocky path with big pine trees in the surroundings. The trekking duration to our destination Muchu is around 4 hrs, however today we have an option to either keep walking from Muchu to Tumkot. We can either choose to explore Muchu village and setup the overnight stay camp there or move ahead to Tumkot for overnight camp.
Day 09 Trek to Yari or Thado Dhunga

Our journey today takes us through tougher and steeper terrains further. After crossing the ani Palwang village, where we schedule our lunch, we would need to walk further for couple of hours to reach Yari. Here, we do have option to setup our overnight camp at Yari or choose to continue our journey for an hour more to Thado Dhunga for Campsite setup for overnight stay.
Day 10 Yari to Hilsa, crossing Nara La

We start our trekking today from the Yari Village ( or Thado Dhunga ) early in the morning. Trekking trail today is one of the most challenging and intense as we have to cross the Nara La pass during our trek today. We continue our trekking journey through Nara La pass, going through steeper stony trail. We are accompanied by the beautiful Tibetan landscapes, prayer flags and scenic views of the surroundings throughout our journey. Upon reaching Hilsa, we can choose to setup our campsite for overnight stay or also have an option to choose available Home Stay facility in the village for overnight accommodation.
Day 11 Hilsa to Manepeme

We start our journey after breakfast from Hilsa. Our trekking trail today is around 5 hours through slightly difficult and sloppy ways. With some gradual ups and downs along with dramatic views in the surroundings, we reach Manepeme. Manepeme is small flat land area where we will be settling down our camp for overnight stay.
Day 12 Trek to Till

We move forward in our journey towards Til in the morning after breakfast. After walking for around couple of hours, we reach Ya Yip Phuk cave which was used by Lotsawa Rinchen Sangpo. The trekking trail ahead is rocky and moderate with some green lush in the surrounding.Further trail takes us gradually upwards to Lamka La, from where Til and its monestries are visible. After moving gradually downwards we can reach Til village. the village is highly influenced by the Tibetan culture and architecture. Overnight stay at camp.
Day 13 Til to Halji

Trekking trail today is comparatively easier today. We start our journey from Til in the morning after breakfast. Our destination for today the Halji village is around 3-4 hrs walk. Trekking trail consists of vivid divine surroundings with verities of flora and fauna. Upon reaching Halji we pay our visit to the Richening Gompa, built in the 14th Century. This is the central attraction of the Limi Valley because of its religious importance. Overnight stay at a camp in Halji.
Day 14 Halji to Jang

We start our trekking journey further from Halji early in the morning after breakfast. Today, our trail takes us along the Limi khola. The trekking distance between Halji and Jang is covered in around 4 hours. Jang is a Tibetan settlement which is still raw in its core and untouched by the modern world influences. Here we can explore more of Tibetan culture and experiences. Overnight stay is arranged in Jang.
Day 15 Trek to Talung

Our destination for today is Talung. As we move forward in our trekking trail, we are driven further away from Limi valley settlement areas and pass through Isolated landscapes. The trekking trail today needs to be slow paced because of the windy weather in the second half of the trail. We reach to Talung in around 4 hours, where we setup an Overnight Camp.
Day 16 Trek to Shinjungma, crossing the Nyalu La

Our Adventurous journey in the Limi valley Trekking takes us through another challenging and exciting trails today. As we need to cross the Nyalu La pass in our journey today, the ascend is steep and hard. The adventurous journey does pay off however, as we can see marvelous views of Tibet and Humla, as well as breathtaking views of Mt. Kailash and Mt. Saipal from the pass. we head down forward to cross Sali River and reach to the Shinjungma, where our overnight accommodation camp is set.
Day 17 Trek to Kermi

As we are already at the descend phase of our journey, we continue further to go along our trekking trail that takes us below 3000 m height. The walk today is fairly pleasant and amazing where you can enjoy pleasant views of pine and birch forests. The trail meets along the Karnali River again and we head back to Kermi village. On reaching to Kermi village, we will have some time to enjoy the surroundings and relax. Overnight stay in Kermi.
Day 18 Trek to Simikot

We head back to Simikot today trekking through easy and enjoyable paths. Our trek then ascends slowly, crossing the Majhgoun village. We then head down to walk further couple of hours reaching Simikot. Overnight accommodation is arranged in Simikot.
Day 19 Flight Simikot- Nepalgunj - Kathmandu

Our successfully completing our Adventerous journey in the Lemi Valley Trekking, We head back to Kathmandu today. As no direct flights are available from Simikot to Kathmandu, we take connecting flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu. We can enjoy our free evening in Kathmandu cherishing the adventurous moments, Souvenir shopping or by just relaxing. Overnight accommodation in Kathmandu today.
Day 20 Farewell Dinner

Before your planned return from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips organizes farewell dinner for the whole trekking team including guides and porters. We share our experiences with each other and also have an opportunity to plan our next trip to Nepal with Asian Adventure Trips. As per your departure schedule from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips will provide airport transport facility from your hotel.

En-route Accomodation

Accommodation during the trekking is arranged in en-route tea houses and local lodges. The accommodation options available during the trek are fairly clean with all the facilities available expected for the lodges of the grade. Before and after the trek, accommodation is arranged in cities at three star hotels on twin sharing on BB plan. Asian Adventure Trips takes all the necessary approaches to ensure your comfortable stay during your adventurous journey.
