Ama Dablam is one of the highest peaks of the Khumbu region. The glorious peak is our pride in the Himalayas. The name ‘Ama Dublam’ suggests the jewel box of mother, given the name because of its jewel like structure and magnificent beauty.
Day 1 :
International Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 m)
After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips. You will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.
Day 2 :
Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre-discussion of the trek is done in the presence of trek leader, crew and other participants of the trek. Asian Adventure Trips will delightfully brief more about the trek and your queries will be answered.
Day 3 :
Kathmandu - Lukla (2840 m) - Phakding (2,652m)
Our day begins with an early breakfast in Kathmandu after which we will accompany you to Domestic Terminal of Tribhuvan International Airport for morning flight to Lukla (2800 m). We fly for 40 minutes exploring beautiful sceneries and mountains of Nepal. We land at Tenzing-Hillary airport in Lukla and meet our rest of the trekking crew. Trekking starts after some essential arrangements and packing. We trek through the beautiful village of Lukla to Phakding. We take a short hike today as it assists us in acclimatization. However, Side trip to nearby monastery can be arranged for willing participants. We spend the night in Phakding.
Day 4 :
Phakding - Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
Our trek for today starts after breakfast in Phakding. We then set off for a beautiful journey of around 5-6 hours across short uphill and downhill paths. Spectacular view of Mt. Thamserku can be seen from Benkar village on our way. We pass over DudhKoshi River via several crossings and finally reach to Sagarmatha national park at Monjo. Our trekking journey continues to Jorsale, the last village till Namche Bazaar. On the way to Namche, we stop at chautara to enjoy the view of Kwangde peak and its sister peaks Kusum Kangaru, Mt. Everest, Lotse and Twache. Finally, our trek for the day ends with overnight stay in Namche Bazaar
Day 5 :
Namche Bazaar: Rest day
This is the rest day at Namche Bazaar. For “acclimatization” needed during this climbing trek. As suggested by health experts, we should not be completely idle during rest days. So, we opt to take a small hike to Thame or Khunde. You also have an option to rather stay at Namche Bazaar and enjoy different attractions there. Doing so, you can also learn about Sherpa culture and extend your knowledge about mountains and mountaineering.
Day 6 :
Namche Bazaar to Debuche
After the acclimatization day in Namche, we head towards Debuche early in the morning. Trekking trail is gradual with magnificient views of Everest, Lhotse and Ama Dublam itself. We cross Tengboche and reach to Debuche for overnight accommodation.
Day 7 :
Trek to Pheriche (4,300m)
We follow the trekking trail towards Pheriche crossing Pangboche on our way. With beautiful mountainous views giving company to us all the way, we reach Pheriche for overnight accommodation.
Day 8 :
Acclimatization day in Pheriche
We take a rest and acclimatization day in Pheriche today. Rest days helps us to boost up our energy and prepare for upcoming adventure. Overnight stay is arranged in Pheriche.
Day 9 :
Pheriche to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,570m)
We trek from Pheriche to cross Pangboche. We then head towards Ama Dublam Base Camp. Ama Dublam Basce Camp is a beautiful flat land with amazing Himalayan views. Overnight camping is arranged in Ama Dublam Base Camp.
Day 10 :
Acclimatization and Pre-climb training at Ama Dablam Base Camp
We prepare for our final ascend today. We revise the tools and techniques for our successful climbing tomorrow. The day is also intended for acclimatization and relaxation. After some brief training and acclimatization, we spend our day with boosted motivation and energy. Overnight accommodation in Ama Dublam Base Camp.
Day 11 :
Ascend and Descend of Ama Dablam (6,856m)
Our days ahead are ascending to the Mt. Ama Dublam and then descend back to the base camp. We head through different camps and ascend the mighty Ama Dublam. We face exciting challenges and adventure all the way while moving up to the camp 1, camp 2 and camp 3. Analyzing proper weather conditions and proper care, we head ahead and complete our glorious expedition climbing adventure. We head back to the base camp after finally summit the peak filled with victory and thrill.
Day 12 :
Trek to Lukla
We descend back from the Ama Dublam Base camp and head towards Tenboche. We then follow trekking trail back to Namche and finally to Lukla after crossing Phakding.
Day 13 :
Fly to Kathmandu
We take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Afternoon in Kathmandu can be utilized by engaging various activities and roaming around we summarize our lifetime achievement of thrilling adventure and enjoy evening in Kathmandu. Overnight accommodation in Kathmandu.
Day 14 :
Rest and Leisure day in Kathmandu
This day is provided as a leisure and rest day in Kathmandu after the adventurous days. We are filled with memories of adventure we recently completed. The day can also be used to spend some time shopping souvenir and roaming around.
Day 15 :
Farewell Dinner
Before your planned return from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips Organizes farewell dinner for the whole trekking team including guides and porters. We share our experiences with each other and also have an opportunity to plan our next trip to Nepal with Asian Adventure Trips. As per your departure schedule from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips will provide airport transport facility from your hotel.
