Tamur river expedition is yet another adventurous experience in Nepal. This white water rafting package takes us to huge Tamur River, originated from the third highest peak of Nepal, Mt. Kanchanjunga.
Day 1 :
International Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300 m)
After your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be addressed and welcomed by representatives from Asian Adventure Trips. You will then be transferred to the hotel booked for your comfortable accommodation.
Day 2 :
Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Rafting Preparation
We start the day with sightseeing of popular destinations around Kathmandu valley. After the half day sightseeing, pre discussion of Rafting is done in the presence of Rafting leader, crew and other participants of the Rafting trip. Asian Adventure Trips will delightfully brief more about the Rafting and your queries will be answered.
Day 3 :
Kathmandu to Biratnagar
We take morning flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar and drive to Basantapur. Overnight stay in Basantapur.
Day 4 :
Trek to Mangalbare
Today, we trek to Mangalbare from Basantapur. Trekking is 4-5 hrs long with magnificent views of peaks of this region. Overnight stay in Mangalbare in beach camp.
Day 5 :
Trek to Chauki
We continue our trek to Chauki accompanied by beautiful views of Kanchanjunga . Overnight campsite in Chauki.
Day 6 :
Trek to Guphapokhari
Trek continues with similar trail to Guphapokhari. Overnight in Guphapokhari.
Day 7 :
Trek to Dovan
Trek continues with similar awesome views and sceneries to Dovan. Overnight campsite in Dovan.
Day 8 :
Rafting adventure phase I
We finally start rafting from Dovan as we get in the divine Tamur River. The river offers us exciting white water rafting experiences. We raft for around 4-5 hrs today and arrange campsite for overnight stay.
Day 9 :
Rafting adventure phase II
Thrill continues today with more water fun. We pass by some small villages and enjoy flora and fauna of this region. Overnight camp is enjoyable on a sandy river bank.
Day 10 :
Rest Day
Today is our rest day after completion of thrilling first phase of rafting. We can choose to either lay down on the beach sunbathing or arrange fun beach sports activities.
Day 11 :
Rafting adventure phase III
Adventure raises high like the water waves around you. Everything is thrilling today as we continue to raft through mighty Tamur. Day ends with campfire and overnight stay camp on the river bank.
Day 12 :
Rafting adventure phase IV
We continue to raft through last sections of Tamur today. Our rafting trip comes to near end. The last day in water fun is enjoyed before our scheduled return.
Day 13 :
Drive to Biratnagar and fly to kathmandu
We successfully take our fun filled adventurous ride to an end in Chatara. We then drive to Biratnagar and fly to Kathmandu or simply drive our way back to the capital city.
Note: The Tamur River rafting trip can also be easily combined with Chitwan National Park tour with additional three days’ adventure.
Day 14 :
Farewell Dinner
Before your planned return from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips Organizes farewell dinner for the whole rafting team including guides and river crews. We share our experiences with each other and also have an opportunity to plan our next trip to Nepal with Asian Adventure Trips. As per your departure schedule from Kathmandu, Asian Adventure Trips will provide airport transport facility from your hotel.
